(Headquarters: Koto Ward, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Takayoshi Fukuyo; hereinafter referred to as “ArkEdge Space”), a company offering end-to-end solutions for micro-satellite constellations, from planning and design to mass production and operations, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a collaborative framework for satellite image analysis solutions. This partnership aims to drive the creation of new businesses and accelerate application development leveraging satellite data.

■ Key Initiatives
Under the terms of this MoU, the two companies will collaborate on the following initiatives:
● Calibration of Satellite Data and Development of New Calibration Methods
To enhance the accuracy of data obtained from micro-satellites launched by ArkEdge Space, the companies will engage in joint research and development of calibration technologies and methods. This effort aims to establish highly accurate satellite data analysis methods.
● Development of New Businesses and Applications
Based on satellite imagery data, the companies will explore creating services and applications across a wide range of fields, including Earth observation, agriculture, urban planning, disaster management, and environmental conservation.
● Joint Marketing with Domestic and International Agencies
In conjunction with new businesses and application development efforts, the companies will collaborate with domestic and international government agencies, international organizations, and similar groups to conduct joint marketing activities. These activities aim to expand access to global markets and enhance the value of satellite imagery analysis.
● Initiatives to Expand the Satellite Imagery Market
The companies will promote a wide range of initiatives, including academic research, collaborative projects with private companies, and educational and awareness activities, to contribute to the overall expansion of the satellite imagery market.
Through this partnership, NSI and ArkEdge Space aim to establish next-generation calibration methods to significantly enhance the accuracy of satellite-based predictions across various fields, including climate change, natural disaster management, and agriculture. These advancements will improve planning for climate-resilient development, improve the efficiency of infrastructure management in urban areas, refine yield forecasting for farmers, and enable the creation of other innovative applications tailored to diverse needs.
